SUMMARY
The first wave of Plastospherans reaches the coast of Frica and is welcomed by Bob Ecolo and other Fricans. They come to the reality of a world where worship of God, architecture and educational facilities try as much as possible to drift away from artificiality and stick to nature. Neo-naturalists like the Bob Ecolos and Vegeta caution them against implementing such artificial practices that would lead to another phenomenon as nasty as the black rain. All the people, a little above five hundred thousand, are settled after a lot of efforts in different parts of the world. Pete’s wife pressurizes him to resort to ecotourism and do a great deal in transforming the world to a natural haven. Parks have to be multiplied, natural shrines have to be increased, and recycling of plastics has to be mandatory. Bob works with him to establish these natural havens, yet receives a lot of criticism for still having an edge over them in touristic attraction. The rivalry is worsened with the choice of Pete’s son, Gastro, to become a forest guard under Bob Ecolo. Father denounces son for this and schemes with Teqno, his ardent supporter in environmental waywardness for profit, to destroy Bob Ecolo’s most booming park, the Ndzondzene park.
Using a remote-controlled incendiary robot, Teqno and friends partially burn this park on a Christmas evening, when many tourists are celebrating. Thanks to the increase of water cannons supplied from nineteen bore holes around the park, the fire is put out with some damages registered. Teqno pretentiously pays a visit to Bob Ecolo’s house the next day, and is not welcomed. His pretense is on Christmas season routine to visit family members, and to extend their mother’s greetings to Bob Ecolo’s family. Gastro not only suspects but accuses his brother and father for this scheme to burn the park. Teqno ignores them and slips to the park unnoticed.
